Woodend Farming Partnership is a family business growing arable crops and producing Free Range Eggs in a modern poultry unit.
We are looking for someone to join our small friendly team looking after Free Range Laying Hens and packing eggs at weekends to fit in with our rota. Experience with hens or other livestock would be an advantage but reliability and the ability to learn and work as part of a team are also important. Training will be given. This might suit a student, someone looking for part-time work only or someone looking for some extra hours at weekends. The current rota is every second weekend but more weekends are available if wanted.
Weekend hours are 8.00am- 12.30 pm Sat/Sun mornings with a paid break
duties will include:-
- Animal husbandry - checking hens
- Keeping poultry unit clean & tidy
- Grading & Packing eggs
- Collecting floor eggs
- Recording data
- Keeping plant, equipment , egg room & egg store clean and tidy
- Weekend hours 8.00 - 12.30/ 1.00 pm with a paid break
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week
Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We already follow a routine of hand sanitising / hand washing, feet dips and mask wearing. We work in teams of two and the nature of the job means it is easy to maintain a social distance. Workwear is provided.
